In the caveman days anxiety was a good thing. It served to keep us alive. We felt anxious when a lion was on our tracks waiting for dinner or when the weather was hot and we hadn't seen water in days. And even today anxiety is at times a good thing when we feel threatened. But often times the anxiety is likely to do more damage than the possible threat could ever do. We spend much of our time worrying, which causes undue stress on the body and mind.
