America's obesity epidemic continues to grow.

A new study published by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and reported on MindBodyGreen said that not only is America is still the fattest country in the world, we're only getting fatter. Three out of four Americans are projected to be overweight or obese within 10 years. Before 1980, only one in ten Americans was overweight.
But why do we still keep getting fatter? A sedentary lifestyle and a frightening diet are largely to blame. It's no secret that often times when we hit the grocery store white bread, ground chuck, and potato chips can be much less expensive than the produce aisle. For a struggling family of four the idea of having enough produce for the recommended 9 servings a day seems rather difficult let alone choosing organic, local eats or free range, grass fed meat and dairy. It's intimidating to say the least and it's increasingly difficult when fast food signs seem to get a little brighter and 99 cent meals beckon the thrifty.
