Every man loves his grill. And according to the 23rd Annual Weber GrillWatch Survey, 53 percent of dads grilled on Father's Day in 2012. In fact, restaurants see a decrease in sales compared to other major holidays making only $12.7 billion in sales as compared to a whopping $18.6 billion on Momma's Day [Source: Southtown Star]. This is typically attributed to guys' desire to sit at home, grill up some steaks and watch a good game on TV.

So keep your pops safe this holiday and buy him his own handy first aid kit to keep by the grill. This way he can cook up something delicious and be safe while he's at it.

Alright, alright. Is it in poor taste to admit what we all know to be the truth? Men like their alone time...and in particular, their reading time.

Whether your pops is a gardener, football fanatic or a total reading buff, there's a magazine subscription for everyone. This gift is also a great and affordable way to show your dad that you care about him and you know what he likes!

Especially if your father is an empty nester, you may find him often looking for things to do and fun activities to partake in with his buddies.

An at-home brewing kit or a make-your-own whiskey kit is a great way to indulge your father in a hobby that we all love but unfortunately cannot partake in all the time.

Plus, the upside to this fun activity is you get to see what goes into the brew you drink and might even reconsider how much you drink the next time around (when it's not your own, homemade concoction).

Every All-American man loves a good ol' fashion family outing. So try getting all of your siblings to pitch in and buy tickets to your dad's favorite team's next game and make a day of it. Invite family and friends and set up a tailgate. Make some homemade salads and light up the grill outside the stadium. It'll mean a lot to your dad to see how much thought you put into his day.

Parents always appreciate when you think of them and show that you want to spend time with them, plus, studies show that being a sports fan is good for your health.
