Egg cell production
An egg cell or ovum must be at the right place at the right time for conception to take place. The key reproductive organs include the uterus, fallopian tube, ovary and vagina. The ovary contains all the eggs that a women will have (about 30,000). Hormones cause one egg to mature. It is released into the fallopian tubes. Fimbrea move the egg cell into the tube. The egg must be fertilized within 12 to 24 hours.
